Proper Dosage and Policy

Below you will find common concerns that need to be addressed in order to ensure proper therapy.

Medication (other than Hormone Injection) Preparation: When mixing the medicine, please make sure that you are only mixing 5ml’s of water and not the full 10ml’s. The only reason you receive a 10ml vial of water is due to the fact that this is all the pharmacy carries. If you mix the full 10ml’s of water, your medicine will be diluted!

We find that some patients are concerned that they are not receiving enough testosterone for 2 months. Please, make sure that you are only injecting 1cc of hormones per week. Male hormones come in a 10ml vial, which is enough to last you 10 weeks. You should not run low on hormones during an 8 week period. However, we have had some customers complain that they do not have enough medicine to last them the entire two months. These type of complaints are due to the following:

On all of our syringes there is a “Dome” on the tip of the plunger. When filling the syringe with the medication, you must make sure that the first line after the dome is used to measure. Do not use the tip of the “Dome” to measure. See screenshots below.

Effective immediately, pharmacies are requiring signatures for all package deliveries. If you or no one else will be able to sign for the delivery of your package at your designated shipping address, we strongly recommend that you set up an alternate mailing address via signed-delivery services such as Mail Boxes Etc. Please, do not get a P.O. Box since package deliveries are not allowed to USPS’s PO boxes. In the event that a package is returned because the address is incorrect or failed the signature requirement, reshipments will have an additional charge of $20 for shipping and handling.

Important Notice: Pharmacies will allow patients to receive packages without signature confirmation if requested in advance. However, these packages may be left at your front door. In the event that a package without signature confirmation is stolen or misplaced for any reason whatsoever, you must accept full responsibility and will not be able to get another package for two months since it is a controlled substance as per U.S. law. As such, shipments from Royal Men’s Medical Center cannot be shipped early. There are absolutely no exceptions and the pharmacy will not send orders early under any circumstance since it’s a class 3 controlled substance. Male hormones cannot be sent before the 60 day mark.
